luv2getaway Posted October 14, 2008 #1 Share Posted October 14, 2008 Our SA cruise makes a stop at Puerto Chacabuco. I am not a fan of ship excursions, prefering to do it on my own. Is it easy to get a taxi for 4 people for a tour of the area if we are all non-spanish speakers?
luv2getaway Posted November 7, 2008 Author #2 Share Posted November 7, 2008 Does anyone have any experience with taxi's at this port?
dfb Posted November 7, 2008 #3 Share Posted November 7, 2008 Sorry, I don't have any experience with taxis at Puerto Chacabuco. I did not reply earlier because I didn't remember seeing any taxis there! But, since you brought it back up with no replies, I went and dug up our photos of that day at this port and I can see and count at least 9-10 taxis (they were parked nearby, maybe outside the port gates, but near a chain link fence). They were black and yellow cars. There were 2 ships there that day, RSSC Mariner and HAL's Amsterdam. Hope that helps. Debbie

Hopefully one of the taxi drivers will speak a little English but if not, it could be an interesting experience.:o
