We completed our HAL documents and booked our excursions today. This will be our 5th cruise but our virgin gay cruise. Henry is a school teacher so as we can only travel over summer or winter holidays -- few gay cruises have been offered at these times in past years. His brother and brother-in-law have had a great time on their RSVP and Atlantis cruises -- we are sorry that they wont be joining us -- as are they -- especially when Atlantis offered the 2nd cabin deal for this cruise.

 

This is also our first time on HAL and to these ports/cities in Europe. We can't wait to see Berlin, St. Petersburg and Scandinavia -- not to mention all you men on the ship. The late sunsets will bring back memories of our first cruise together a dozen years ago -- to Alaska on Celebrity in 2000 -- with Henry's parents, aunt/uncle and 45 of their terrific friends.

 

We arrive in Copenhagen on Sunday morning July 19 -- we are staying at the Radison SAS Blu Royal hotel near Tivoli Gardens.

 

Just saw that there is a Welcome Party on Tuesday, July 21 at Odd Fellow Palace (Bredgade 28) in Copenhagen from 6 pm -8pm. We are going to try to get there.
