Fort Lauderdale Hotel on beach?

Help please! I am looking for a nice hotel directly on the beach in Fort Lauderdale. We are arriving on December 3rd for a two night precruise stay. I would like a hotel that has lots of activities for the kids with a nice beach and large pool area.

 

Any suggestions?

Either the Lago Mar or the Marriott harbor beach would have what you are looking for. Both have great pools and are directly on a nice stretch of beach. Lago Mar has nice 1 or 2 bedroom suites. (Lagomar.com),(marriottharborbeach.com).I have stayed at both many times.

we stayed at Marriott Harbor Beach with our kids in August. Got it on Priceline for 88 per night. It was great. Nice pool and nice beach. Also a Starbuck's in the lobby.

We also loved the Largo Mar for our 2 day pre cruise in Ft Lauderdale. This all suite hotel is a great choice if traveling with kids. I have pictures of the hotel if you would like to see. Go to my home page that will link you to Webshots.

Thanks for the replies but Lago was booked up for Dec 3rd & 4th. I ended up using priceline and am staying in Miami instead of Ft Lauderdale for our precruise stay. We are flying into Ft Lauderdale but our cruise leaves Miami. We are staying at Pier 66 for our post cruise stay. I think these hotels will be ok, but Lago Mar looked amazing. Maybe next time.
