Chance of Upgrade From Oceanview Guarantee

My husband and I have booked an Oceanview Guarantee on the NCL Pearl for the Jan 18th '09 sailing. We booked in the highest oceanview category (CC) which has only 34 cabins and of those currently only 5 are left. What do you think our chances are for a bump into a balcony cabin? I feel relatively hopeful, but was curious if anyone else has tried something similar and how it ended up.

By reading these boards you would think that most everyone gets upgrade to the next category--but most people stay within the category they booked.

 

If you are looking online to see whats available youwill only see 5 -7 cabins at any given time-- doesnt mean there are no more left.

 

You are also "parked" somewhere too-- that makes sure they dont oversell.
