Best Western Bayside

Has anyone stayed here? We are looking at three nights after the cruise and this looked fairly central to most attractions. Any info would be appreciated.

We stayed there for 3 nights in April last year and was quite happy with it. They picked us up in two trips (8 plus luggage) from the airport and we were able to check in early as well. We ended up in smoking rooms because our allocated rooms weren't ready and smoking rooms were ok with no "hanging around" odour.

 

The pool is small but nice and we also could see the ship (although not panoramic). We walked all over the place and wasn't that far to the mall. Balboa park was a hike though.

 

I would recommend it. Oh, they would have also taken us to the pier but we decided to walk.

We have stayed @ the Best Western Bayside twice before we have cruised, the last time just a couple weeks ago. They have redecorated the rooms since the last time we stayed and found it to be very convenient and priced right. Since we drive from our home in Huntington Beach to San Diego we take advanage of their park and stay package. Not fancy, but good location and price which includes breakfast.
