lrcruising Posted November 4, 2004 #1 Share Posted November 4, 2004 I prebooked shore excursions through Princess for Grand Cayman and they just called me to let me know most had been cancelled and had no info on why. So if you booked an excursion through Princess you should check it out.

DerekB Posted November 6, 2004 #4 Share Posted November 6, 2004 I was just in Grand Cayman and the island is still a bit of a wreck. There are still a lot of shore excursions available. I did the stingray city snorkeling and the rest of my group did an island tour. The stingrays didn't mind the hurricane at all - and the rest found the tour to be more of "see the destruction" tour but had a great time at the turtle farm. Basically Grand Cayman currently is in the same condition as some caribbean islands are normally. The place must be beautiful when it isn't half destroyed. So if you booked an excursion through Princess you should check it out. Is it possible that your ship will not be one of the two allowed to stop at Grand Cayman? Just wondering... We are scheduled for Grand Cayman on the Grand for November 17th and have not heard anything either way...

loten Posted December 2, 2004 #8 Share Posted December 2, 2004 MUNCHKINSMOM: Sorry, Which ship are you going with? We´re going with the Mariner on this Sunday. RCCL has promised that we´re going to stop at Cayman December 9th. We´re going to get married on the island, so I hope nothing´s been changed.
