dclark Posted November 7, 2008 #1 Share Posted November 7, 2008 My wife has carpal tunnel in both wrists. Is river rafting something she shouldn't do? We are a family of four (I have pretty strong arms and both of my teen daughters are pretty strong). Is this something where the rest of us could help compensate for her lack of wrist strength? 6502programmer Posted November 7, 2008 #2 Share Posted November 7, 2008 I have some flavor of RSI in my wrists as well, and I've never had a problem with rafting. I've done five to six hour trips of class IV rapids, and I've never felt it in my wrists. My back and shoulders, oh yes, but not my wrists.
