We will be in St. Lucia in February. I have heard a lot about Jalousie Beach and Marigot Bay. Has anyone ever been to either of these beaches and would can to share some insight i.e. how are they which is best, how far from ship, etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

We went to Jalousie Plantation on a tour with Spencer Ambrose. It was a great tour and the cost was only $45pp. He provided beer water and soda. The tour was a nice overview of the Island. The beach was the most beautiful I have ever seen. It is about 1 hour from the port. I wish we had done the rest of the tour quicker so we would have had more time at the beach. How long you spend at each stop is up to the people on the tour.If you are not interested in a tour you could email him about just transportation. If you are interested his email it is spencerambrose1990@hotmail.com Have a great trip ours was the best.

Steph123,

Thanks you so much for responding. I would love to go by the Pitons, but not sure I want the hour drive. I think we might do Marigot Bay. I have heard lots of good things about the bay was well. Just can not wait to hear the blast of the ship when we are pulling out!

I just received an e-mail from Spencer for this same thing and he quoted me a price of $75 for just a trip to Jalousie for the day and back. No other stops.

Wow that seems like alot, but it is along way. Maybe the driver would be waiting for you because of the distance. You could try starting a new thead asking about a reliable taxi anyone knows of. When we were in Barbados we pd $30 plus tip for a 25 min drive one way for 2 people, and in Antigua we pd $20 rt pp for a 30 minute drive with a stop at Devils Bridge before the beach there were 5 people on that trip.
