Delay in boarding... what to do?

We just found out today that we will not be allowed to board our cruise as early as expected. We are arriving in San Juan at 10:00 a.m. (after flying all night) and now can't board our ship until 3:00 pm. I'm looking for ideas since we will now have five hours, with all our luggage, before we can board. H-E-L-P!!!

Who told you that, and what ship are you sailing on.

You may want to check to see if you can drop you bags at the ship and then proceed to OSJ to explore (without boarding).

Or in OSJ, you can store you bags at Audio Guia (across from Pier 4) or Barrachina Restaurant.

Then you can take some time and enjoy OSJ. Since you will have flown all night, you may be tired..... but there is a lot to choose from in OSJ.

Restaurants, museums, the forts, Segway tours, horse and carriage rides, free rum drinks (at PR TC and Don Q), and a casino.

Here is my travel guide with 3 pages of ideas to things to do in OSJ:

I received an email from *****.com. We are boarding the Caribbean Princess on 11/16. Thanks for all the ideas. It's nice to know we have some options if we can't drop our luggage off early.

All official sources will usually tell you that you won't be able to board until mid-afternoon. Most "early-birds" report that they are allowed to board by 11 a.m., regardless of the time they were originally told.

We were allowed to board the CB this week at 1:00. It was quite a long process. We got to the pier at 11:45 and I think we were in our room by 2:00.

However, this was the trip that left NY and arrived in San Juan, and we were told customs was backed up due to leaving a U.S. port and arriving at another U.S. port.
