Info Needed on StateRoom/Valor

Sunrayz

Recommended Posts

I have just been assigned a state room on Valor for Jan 4/09 Sailing. I am wondering if I could get some info on this particular room. I am in Category 4F #9212. This is my first cruise for Son and myself, all help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You

Carla

Hi Carla

I'm not sure what information you are looking for. You picked a good ship-

newer larger, (110,000 tons) so lots of people and space. The location

of your room is high on the ship, which is great if you have a view to enjoy.

The room location is very forward, which is no problem in calm or slight sea

conditions, but if you get some higher sea conditions you may get some

pitch (that up and down movement) if you don't have any problem with

sea-sickness then you may even enjoy a little pitch. Lower and closer to

mid-ships will give you a better ride in all types of weather. You will have

other cabins above and below your location so should be quiet. The size

of the Cat 4f is 185 square feet-find for two persons.

Enjoy your cruise...

Thank You so much for the reply. It is an interior room, so no view. But I was concerned with it being so close to the front of the ship. Don't know if we are prone to being seasick, but I guess we will soon find out.

Thank You again

Carla

How do you fair when riding amusment rides? or riding in vehicles?

Inside rooms ARE extremly dark 24 hours a day- take an alarm clock or use the telephone wake up service-- your body will try to sleep most of the day away.

Make sure the agent has the reservationmarked as beds are to be seperated-- if you get to the cabin and they are not-- leave the steward a note on the bed or the mirror requesting they be seperated-- this will be done while you are at dinner.

its a LONG walk to the buffet every day-- good luck.

but if you turn right out of your cabin and head all the way forward-- there are stairs there that will take you outside so you can see the port when arriving and exiting-- without going far from your room.
