Belize Private Island beach break?

Has anyone done this through Carnival? Does the tender to the island leave right from the ship, or do you have to go to shore and then take another tender out to the island? My mother-in-law will not enjoy the tenders, so we need to know what to expect. Thanks for your help.

The tender picks you up directly at the ship and it's a very short ride - maybe 10 minutes vs. the sometimes 20 minutes into Belize. It's a nice way to spend a relaxing day at Bannister Island.

They are not allowed to pick you up at the ship. You will tender to Belize then take another tender to Bannister.

We were there 2 weeks ago, it is beautiful!!

 

We did have to wait in Belize for about 30 mins until they had enough people to go to Bannister, well worth the wait. We walked around and shopped, the guys had a few beers.

 

We went with Ecotours.

Tom was the driver and Natalia was the guide. Very nice.

If you go with the ship tour they will pick you up at the ship. If you go with another company, such as Ecotours or Coral Breeze you will have to tender to Belize and get picked up there.
