casinos

Help, I'm looking to entertain my DH and he just loves casinos. Some of the ships we have been on have very lame casinos. What ships have the best? He loves slots. The problem is I think he is looking for Vegas on these ships. But just a nice BIG casino.

I've been on the Explorer and Radiance. Both have large casinos with lots of slots. However, it's not the same atmosphere as Vegas, and the payoffs aren't as good. Also, there isn't as big a variety of slot machines.
I really love going to Vegas, but on a ship the casino is just a part of the cruising experience. I think the newer the ship, the bigger the casino. Have fun, whatever you decide.

we were on AOS and VOS... same casinos.. about 200 slots, I think.. not a whole lot of variety but ok.. we like Vegas, too. What was nice on AOS was the itinerary... we stopped in Aruba and there is a nice casino within walking distance of the ship.. Crystal.. not huge but a lot bigger than the ship's and plenty of slot variety. St. Martin has casinos but we were not there long enough... they don't open early. AOS cruises out of San Juan...lots of casinos there; they are close to the airport (Ritz Carlon, which was large and El San Juan, small)and some in hotels closer to downtown. We looked around and it does seem that the Voyager class ships had the larger casinos for cruise ships.. Although we read that Norwegian Dawn has a nice one, but have not seen it.
