susq2 Posted November 27, 2008 #1 Share Posted November 27, 2008 Going to Cozumel in Feb. Just wondering, with all the drinks flowing at Paradise Beach et al., does anyone get sick on the water anymore? When we were in Cancun several years ago, we were told to only have bottled drinks, no ice, no salad (washed in water), etc. if we were to leave the resort zone. I guess things must be better now. The water will not be an issue at any of the beach clubs, hotels or restaurants. Cozumel has a local company that filters the water for most of the islands businesses and locals these days. The small dive shop we use has bottled water with their logo on it, kind of high class for us divers, huh.
bruce-r Posted November 28, 2008 #3 Share Posted November 28, 2008 ONLY purified water is used for food prep in Cozumel. ONLY purified water is used to make ice. ONLY purified water (in any form) would be served to customers at any place in Cozumel. Yes, the water is safe.
