Hi,:)

I just wondered what the weather will be like in the middle of May on our Canada/New England cruise? We are from Australia so will we have to rug up?

Any information will be helpful.Thanks:p

May is usually quite nice; typically 12-18C but can be 5C either side. Nights will be cool.

It can actually be quite nice up in the mid 20's celcius of course.

(75-80 F that is) any weather here is a bit of a crap shoot, But normally its very nice in May. (October is the wildest month with extremes, can be beautifull but also can be quit cold the next day)

it is the best time for touring the city however, because school is still in,

vacations havnt really started and you will be the only cruise ship in port.

When there is 3 or 4 cruise vessels in at the same time, ex sept.

it is just too congested to really fully appreciate the lovely city.

as in any other port too I guess

Canadians are a hardy bunch. By May, many Canadians are already wearing shorts during the day....

Snow generally melts in late March and Early April.

I know it sounds odd, but Montreal (for example) is on the same parallel as Milan, Italy. The summers are very hot and the winters are very cold. By May the chill is gone, except at night. No one wears winter coats by May, but a thin jacket would be useful, especially in the evenings. If you aren't hardy, maybe a sweater, so you can easily layer.
