coveman Posted November 8, 2004 #1 Share Posted November 8, 2004 New to this PC Dining. Is it really important to make a reservation or just show up? How much of a wait can you expect with no reservation?
giddygurl Posted November 8, 2004 #2 Share Posted November 8, 2004 I was just on the Dawn on the October 24th sailing and we had PC dining. We never made reservations and we ate at a wide range of times (5:30 to 7:30) and we never had to wait for a table. We sat at tables that seated 6-8 people though, so if you were wanting a table for 2 or something, you might want to make reservations.
MichTraveler Posted November 8, 2004 #3 Share Posted November 8, 2004 I've done PC dining on the Dawn and Sun. We usually want a table for two. On one cruise in 2002, we called each morning with our specific request and got a reservation for table to two. On the cruise in 2003, each morning when we called -- they said no reservations for two, just show up. We would have preferred a reservation, but when we arrived between 5:30 and 7:00, no problem for a table for two. We waited 10-15 minutes once, no wait other days. These two were 7-day Alaska -- other destinations may be a little different as the port times change. We did PC on Grand W.Carribbean this year and had 10-15 minute wait at most if we arrived after 6:30. We are booked May/2005 on Sun and will do the PC again. Very flexible and easy.
