Hey Terri,

That was a great review of the Majesty. It was nice meeting you and Mark on Sunday morning.I am so sorry you were sick.Fortunately none of our group of 6 were seasick but I understand many people were.Friday was quite a ride in our cabin on Deck 8 up next to the bridge!I really thought the Majesty did well in the rough 8-10 foot seas with 35 Knot winds---any ship would be rocking.

I am sorry I did not get to dive with your husband. My new friend Kevin (from Canada) told me your husband had a problem with an out of date C-Card. I have never heard of C-Cards expiring.None of mine have an expiration date. The Shark Dive was fantastic in Nassau( I now have a Shark Awareness Instructor C-Card--really neat) and the dives were also good in Grand Bahama.

I am glad you guys enjoyed your cruise and beautiful Charleston. You may want to try Celebrity's Mercury out of Charleston in 2010.She is much larger than the Majesty.

Thanks for the great review! We are sailing on Majesty in just a few weeks. One question. Is there a "formal night"? Which night is it? Did many people get really dressed up?

I believe Sunday night is the optional formal night and yes, many people did dress up.I noticed many folks dressed up on other evening as well.As Teri said in her review the Four Seasons did not allow jeans, etc. The guys in our group just took Dockers and golf shirts and we seemed to fit in just fine.We ate most of our dinners in Four Seasons as we liked the smaller dining room. Most people just seemed to be wearing nice casual clothes in the evening.Enjoy your cruise.

So nice to see you here on the boards :) actually the relief band worked wonderful in those mighty big waves I think it was just a matter of getting my sea legs that first 24 hours, I ramped up the band and took a half of bonine and then I was fine the rest of the time. Yes can you believe it they would not let him dive I forgot to mention that in my review they stated since it was a little over 12 months since his last dive they were requesting when we hit Atlantis for him to re-cert and pay for a 5 hour refresher course! Of course he was fuming I mean this was not his first few times at the dive rodeo so he was very upset...considering he dragged all his equipment with him...but he felt like this was some sort of scam to make him pay an additional fees prior to the dive...which of course he refused to give up our Atlantis day for that. So therefore he did not dive at that time but is planning on diving here shortly for oysters. Yummy!

Did the Mrs. take note as to what I had mentioned about the casino? LOL I said something more blunt to her about that casino had her laughing so hard see if she remembers it LOL LOL...

So are you all planning for the trip out of charleston 2010? We are thinking along the lines of going out of Baltimore when Mark returns from his tour of duty which starts again in March..once that is over with he will be ready for another cruise that is for sure.

Me on the other hand I am ready now! Keep in touch and say hi to the Mrs. for us!

Wow! What a thorough and nice review. NOT alot of sugar coatings, but NOT whiney either. We'll be leaving Saturday and I found it very helpful. Hope we get all our port stops with decent weather and calm seas.

Is there anything worthwhile to do in Freeport? Perhaps the Garden of the Groves or National Park or a real nice beach area?? We're NOT really big on shopping as a past time or as entertainment... Thanks

Great Review...Last year I forgot the bonine and the seas were calm. how bad was it because my son was reading the review and he asked me to ask.

The Captain's bridge update for noon on Friday was : Rough seas of 8 to 10 feet, winds of 35 knots. We were in one of multiple cold fronts we faced that week. The upper deck was closed and one of the pools emptied--no one was swimming anyway. I tried to get a hot dog for lunch at the grill on the back--the wind blew it off my plate! I thought the ship handled the rough seas well. Our cruise on the Majesty in Dec 2005 was as smooth as a lake---you never know what Mother Nature is going to throw at you.

Good solid review. Called it like it is. Glad to see you had a good vacation on the Majesty and really glad to see that you loved Charleston. Celbrity and carnival runs a few cruises out of there on occasion so you can look them up if you ever want to use Charleston again as an embarkation city.

I just got the mail and they did indeed sent us a voucher to use on our next trip. We have one year to use it. Which is fair. So there ya go folks it pays to speak up when you the customer are paying big money for a service and a selected few employees treat customers like dirt.

I had the same problem, I was on train 98 going to charleston on Nov 21 and I need to get a drink for my diabetic husband and when i went up to the snack bar, they told me they would open it when THEY WERE READY. It was during their open hours. They made me look like a jerk. The other workers on the train were nice, but this snack bar guy should look for another job.How much credit did they give you? I hope they gave you a free trip. Also Loved your review. I did one about our trip on the Majesty too.
