luvmyjewels Posted December 8, 2008 #1 Share Posted December 8, 2008 I've posted a similar message on the Carnival page, but I thought it might be better to ask my question here. What is an appropriate tip for the kids club? Do you tip all of the staff, or is there a tip pool? How/when do you tip the kids club? We are taking our three little ones (4, 6 & 8) on their first cruise next week, and I want to make sure that I tip appropriately. The kids are very excited, but I'm praying that they will be healthy by next Monday (I have to take two to the Dr. today. I don't know what I was thinking planning a vacation during cold/flu season!!) Thanks!!
Felizcruiser08 Posted December 9, 2008 #2 Share Posted December 9, 2008 When we cruised Princess last year we tipped them. Also, on Princess they offered night time hours - the Kids Club charges $10 per hour, if you would like to say, enjoy a cocktail, music etc... alone for an hour or 2. It is money well spent, my son enjoyed the kids club. Sometimes they have activities at night - like a Pirate party which the kids enjoy. I suggest tipping, but that is just my humble opinion. On most ships it is broken down to a few hours of morning activities, then a few hours in the afternoon. Port days we always had our son with us so I am not sure how that works out, as far as hours. I hope they are all healthy by the time you sail, enjoy : )
CanadianTwosome Posted December 10, 2008 #3 Share Posted December 10, 2008 We definitely tip the Kid's Crew staff members in our daughter's age group. Last time we gave them $20 each. When I read the title of the post, I thought you were looking for pointers about the Kid's Clubs! ha ha ha I was all ready to give the same one I always do, so just in case you didn't know, make sure your kids go the first night! :)
