leedixie Posted January 6, 2009 #103 Share Posted January 6, 2009 Sailed Dec 4 on the Fantasy. All I can say is research, research, research. I did extensive research since it was my first cruise. I had NO surprises. The funny thing is we did not have VIP boarding, but due to my research, I insisted we get the the port by 10:15. We literally walked straight to the check-in counter and were having our picture made within 10 minutes. Yes, we had to sit for about 1 and 1/2 hours while the Fantasy passengers debarked, but it beat standing in line. I am sailing the old girl again in May with my DH, DS, DDIL. We have booked a Cat 12, but I think we will just get there early and board with My DS and the other "common folk." My point is, I had a great time because my expectations were realistic. Besides, for $319 I really couldn't complain too much LOL.
