LisaRae Posted November 9, 2004 #1 Share Posted November 9, 2004 We are sailing on Nov. 19 on the 9 day Southern Caribbean cruise. We love to go dancing at the clubs on the ships. Are there any disco-type clubs? We are 39 and 41, and enjoy 70's, 80's, 90's and some current music. Bands are okay too as long as it is a good mix. About the only time we get to go dancing is on these cruises, and we really look forward to it. Last year we were on the RCL Mariner of the Sea, and they had one disco. It was dead before 10:00, and the crew pretty much took it over at about 12:00. They were all about 20 years old, so it turned into all hip-hop music from then until closing. The DJ wouldn't play our requests once the crew showed up. We complained to the cruise director, and mentioned that Disney doesn't allow their crew into the clubs with the passengers, and they really mix up the music, and he said he would take care of it, but nothing changed. Anyway, we are looking forward to more dancing this year. Hope it works out that way! LisaRae
cruisin-Trish Posted November 9, 2004 #2 Share Posted November 9, 2004 Lisa Rae There is dancing nightly in the Galaxy. The entertainment on the Spirit(in Champagne Charlie's & The Galaxy) is the best I've encountered. Pryme Tyme and the Band 60280 play just your kind of music, but like Cinderella's ball, it's over at midnight!! The casino is open after that but no music is to be had!
