kodiac Posted December 14, 2008 #1 Share Posted December 14, 2008 Ok, so we are going to Sanoa Island in January on a Princess excursion. We are divers and are going to be snorkeling and problably hitting the bar (if there is one) on this day... We have seen vidoes and would like to know if anyone that has been here can answer these questions. 1. Is there a bar - if so do you know what they serve? Prices? 2. Are there any locals here that bother / harass you to buy things or beg? We have heard that in certain beaches at DR this is the case. We just want a relaxing day as this will be a 14 day cruise and will be one of our only days to actually drink and relax. 3. Is the beach as nice as it looks / everyone says it is?? :) Thanks in advance for the info.

Yes, they have a bar, don't remember prices, but be VERY careful with the ice, my husband was having rum & cokes with ice on the island and was very sick the next day! Yes, the island has the locals trying to get you to buy their stuff, and absolutely Yes, the waters are as beautiful as they look in picture...more so.
