Christinac6 Posted December 14, 2008 #1 Share Posted December 14, 2008 Hello, my family and I (4 total) are going on a Carnival Legend Jan 4th 2009 Grand Caymen-Cozumel-Belize-Isla Roatan. We are interested in Mayan ruins in Belize. Stingray/snorking in Caymen. Cozumel/Honduras horseback riding/Zip line. Either island is fine unless anyone has suggestions Bummed and confused because when you look through carnival webiste for excursions in Belize they offer Xunantunich, but when you log in with your confirmation number to book the excursion its not on there and there are less offered excursions(any suggestions/does it mean they excursion is booked?). We def want to do a ruins excursion in Belize- 8:00am-5:00pm departure. And there is a tender to port at belize. Im guessing, That’s roughly 8 hours (figure getting back on the cruise) do we have enough time for a 6 hour excursion? If we cant book through Carnival where do you recommend booking through? We have looked into http://www.experiencebelizetours.com www.ncqadventuretours.com Caribbean Shore Tours Island Marketing Ltd Cayman Islands One more question- when you book privately do you get dibs as well on first tender out or is it only through people who book through carnival excursions Your feedback is greatly appreciated, Thank you -Christina
98Charlie Posted December 14, 2008 #2 Share Posted December 14, 2008 Hi Christina Welcome to Cruise Critic.:p Last things first, if you book on your own you will not get priority tendering. If you are in a suite you may have VIP tendering which can get you on the earliest regular tenders. If the excursion you want through Carnival is not showing for your cruise it may be booked up. Or, it may be that it is too long for the amount of time that you are in port. Check the roll call board for your cruise and see if anyone else is planning the same or similar excursion. Here's a link to the roll call for your cruise. You can also check on the television in you when you board and see what's available. It's interactive so you can book right from your cabin. We once found a great excursion that had not been listed online. Charlie
