Cruising89143 Posted April 20, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 20, 2004 I was wondering if you went to the British Colonial Hilton on your cruise last week? If so how was it? I am just trying to find some new options for Nassau for the Navigator plus I may slip in a short three nighter over Labor Day. rattler4life Posted April 22, 2004 #2 Share Posted April 22, 2004 Crusingator2, this is definitely OT. But I was wondering how you got that wonderful UF avatar. I'm a FAMU fan and want to find a similar avatar. I have found a Rattler image and would even settle for using that if possible. Can you help? If you have instructions please email me at imarattla2@aol.com Thanks Happy Birthday to me aboard the Mariner of the Seas!

Bonnie Voyager Posted April 22, 2004 #4 Share Posted April 22, 2004 Cruisingator2, we did indeed spend the day at the British Colonial Hilton! It was Easter Sunday! The place was nearly empty when we got there. It was a very short walk from the pier. The hotel is lovely. It was quiet and relaxing. There is a nice pool and a small beach right on the harbor with a beautiful view of the ships. We just walked in and enjoyed ourselves. No one said anything or bothered us. There was not many people there at all. We were prepared to pay a day use fee, but there was no one at the desk to pay it to so we just walked on out to the pool and enjoyed ourselves. I guess if it was more crowded they would be stopping people off the streets and charging the fee. I think the fee is only $15 anyway, but as I said, we didn't pay it because there was never anyone available to pay it to! It was a lovely alternative to doing Atlantis for the day, which we have done many times. I find the day at Atlantis to be exhausting! Fun! But exhausting. The British Colonial Hilton was just laid back and relaxing. Bonnie Voyager...a.k.a. Cruising89143 Posted April 22, 2004 Author #5 Share Posted April 22, 2004 Thanks Bonnie for the info. It sounds like a great thing to do and I will be looking to do this myself on the Navigator. Thanks again.
