nieciez Posted April 20, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 20, 2004 A group of us have meet on the RCCL Meet and Mingle board and we have decided to link our bookings so we can share a table in early dining. My TA has done a great job requesting these links for me in the past. Is there anyway I can email RCCL to make sure this is a done deal? Not that I don’t trust the TA to come through again but her husband is in the hospital in critical condition and her assistant is handling it this time. I just want to dot my “Iâ€s and cross my “Tâ€s Any suggestions? till Grandeur of the Seas
DMorris Posted April 20, 2004 #2 Share Posted April 20, 2004 In my experience RCCL won't confirm or deny anything if you booked with a TA. I tried last year and they wouldn't help. I only wanted to check to make sure we were cross referenced. Sorry. hkmom Posted April 20, 2004 #3 Share Posted April 20, 2004 call the crown and anchor desk, tell them what you want to do and they will link all the bookings for you. calling your travel agent or rccl directly is only going to give you a headache. c&a is very accomodating. also link them all to the person that is higher up in the ranks. so if you have a diamond member link the other reservations to that person. hkmom legend hawaii here we come thanksgiving carnival pride til we see our stingrays again on the rhapsody
gene624 Posted April 20, 2004 #4 Share Posted April 20, 2004 My TA linked my family's four suites for dining at one table. No problem. Gene in Birmingham
cctexan Posted April 20, 2004 #5 Share Posted April 20, 2004 Email RCI, referencing your C & A membership, and tell them that you want the bookings linked. I did this and the first response I received was very condescending "your TA needs to link your bookings, RCI will accommodate what your TA has requested, so on, so on.......I emailed them again and told them I was a C & A member and I was tired of wasting my valuable vacation time standing around once I boarded trying to get the dining arrangements resolved since I had previously requested all of it prior to boarding and RCI had dropped the ball. The second email evidently did the trick. I received confirmation of the seating I chose and the linked bookings. It pays to be persistent! rncruiser Posted April 21, 2004 #6 Share Posted April 21, 2004 My friend's TA was supposed to link our reservations. I don't know if the TA didn't do it or if RCCL didn't. When my friend got on board she just checked with the maitre'd and made the appropriate changes. By the time we boarded a half hour after she did we had a note in our cabin telling us of the change in our dining room assignment.
tinkerme1 Posted April 21, 2004 #7 Share Posted April 21, 2004 I agree with the individual who said, "Call C&A" and let them know about your plans to link reservations". Do be aware, however, that RCI will not always accommodate the size of table you request. The past several cruises, we had to change tables once onboard since RCI did not honor our request for a large table. Always check with the Dining seating arrangements once onboard and insure the table is correct. If you wait to say something after the first dinner, it may not be possible to change. vossjemi Posted April 21, 2004 #8 Share Posted April 21, 2004 I booked my cruise through cruisequick. About a month later, my brother booked w/cruisequick. We had cruisequick link our bookings and both of our invoices show the link. However, to be safe, I called RC to confirm. The lady on the phone at first didn't want to confirm because she said I should confirm with my TA. I told her my TA had already confirmed but I wanted to be sure she had the info. So, she reluctantly confirmed it for me.
