Can anyone tell me the closest Beach in St Thomas...

Recommended Posts

and In St Maarten to where the ship docks. We don't want to go far from the ship as I hate driving on those winding narrow roads, so would appreciate any and all suggestions for beaches that are fairly nice and close by.Thanks for any help you can give. See ya all May 2nd on the Mariner.

In St. Thomas, the closest beach to the Havensight Dock would be the by the Marriott Frencheman's Reef Hotel. It's called Morningstar Beach. This is not a good beach for snorkeling but otherwise is fine. You'll see it from the ship if you are awake when the ship is about to enter Charlotte Amalie Harbor.

In St. Maarten there is a beach right in town by the Everyting's Cool club. For the Caribbean it's not anything special but if you want close, you got it. You can do your shopping too.

That said and done, I would suggest picking other locations. If it's the roads you don't like then there are a few shore excursions where you travel to a beach by boat. I would definately chose that over going to the closest beach just to avoid a bumpy ride.
