westcoastnative Posted January 9, 2009 #26 Share Posted January 9, 2009 You might try the Hotel Colon. Its perfectly located in the Gothic Quarter a short walk from the Ramblas, Metro, and most of the top tourist areas. Hank We can second the recommendation for Hotel Colon! Great location, nice area, helpful staff...:D

swcruise Posted January 10, 2009 #28 Share Posted January 10, 2009 I can 2nd the recommention for Hotel Jazz, stayed there pre-cruise in '07 and have just booked the same hotel this week for our May cruise. I got a reduction on the hotel rate that was being offered in December, so I am a happy camper. SW

dmk Posted January 11, 2009 #31 Share Posted January 11, 2009 We had spanish friends recommend this hotel. It is the NH Duc De La Victoria. It is lovely, inexpensive and its location was close too Las Ramlas...2 min without the noise of being on Las Ramblas. Check it on Trip Advisor: http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g187497-d230832-Reviews-NH_Duc_de_la_Victoria-Barcelona_Catalonia.html
