Mo Bay Jamaica - 2 women

:o My mom and I are cruising in less than two weeks. I have excursions planned in Cayman and Cozumel but nothing for Jamaica yet. I'm sort of worried about some of the negative things I've read - and the fact we are two women alone. It can't be anything strenuous for her so no falls or zip line etc.

Any suggestions?

I would definately do an excursion as its not a pleasant experience walking around the port area. We did the Falls (probably too much for your mum) but we also did a botantical gardens trip which was enjoyable. You dont have to book through the cruise line, there are quite a few companies on here that people have used.

I would definitely book an excursion! You could do something as simple as a beachbreak excursion at one of the private resorts. I personally don't feel that it would be safe for the two of you to venture around on your own there. We were there in Feb and didn't book any excursion and I didn't feel safe even with my DH with me!

There is Sunset beach resort. For I believe $60.00 pp you can spend the day on the beach with food and drinks included. We went in Oct. and had a very relaxing enjoyable day. You can take a Juta Cab from the pier to the resort and back. The people there were very friendly and the jerk chicken at the grill was delicious. You don't have to make reservations either. Have a great cruise.:)
