Valentines Day - anything special on the ship?

Hi- my husband and I will be on AOS on Valentine's Day and just curious if there is typically anything special planned on the ship, special dance, special dessert, decorations, etc?

 

BTW- not complaining or asking for free stuff, just wondering as I have never cruise on a "holiday" before.

I'm glad someone else was thinking about this, also. DH and I will be on IOS over Valentines Day for our first cruise without any kids along.

We were on a valentines day cruise on Voyager two years ago. Nothing too special at all. It almost seemed like a regular day to me at least.

We were on Mariner in 08 for V day, we had dinner at Portofino, and every lady there was given a red rose. It wasn't much, but it was nice.:)

On Jewel in 2007, they had romantic songs karaoke and offered some Valentines Day spa specials. That was about it.

Ditto for when I was on the Monarch in 2008 except they also had a giant heart-shaped balloon arch in the centrum with red & pink balloons. Again, not much but at least you could tell it was a holiday :)

We had dinner at Portofino's on the Mariner on Vday in 07 and was told that we could only book there if we bought the "package" for $75 which included dinner for 2, a bottle of champagne and the rose. They would not book us for dinner at the normal $20/$25 charge per person that night and when we showed up more than half of the restaurant was empty!
