I see that there are many travel insurance companies ! I would appreciate recommendations on companies. Thanks !

I booked mine through insuremytrip dot com today. I had questions about my coverage because I am driving to Miami from Long Island and leaving 2 days earlier than the actual cruise...and obviously arriving home 2 days after the cruise ends.

 

I called the 800 # on the website and the rep was extremely helpful, and put me into a policy that was less expensive than the one I was going to chose. I also took the option of paying the addl fee for cancel for any reason.

 

Give them a try. They had many companies to chose from and you can compare the policies.

also not every insurance company writes in every state so a recommendation may be useless. so insure my trip dot com is a good place to look as you put in your perimeters and they give you many choices.....

Travel Guard was great. I got salmonella on my honeymoon, had to come home early, and we got mostly all our money back as well as all the doctor's expenses that my heath insurance refused to pay. (even though they should have).
