Zipline options in Alaska

Looking for your opinions on the various zipline options that are availabe in Juneau, Sitka and Ketchikan. Pros and cons. Particularly interested in the number of lines, the friendliness of the staff, the accessaibilty and mostly the scenery!

We've been ziplining in Jamaica and Puerto Vallarta so we are aware of how they work and what to expect.

Ive particularly had my eye on the one in Juneau that starts with a boat ride to an island. Cannot recall the name of it right now though.

Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I've done the canopy adventure zipline in Ketchikan twice and it was great. I believe the one you're speaking of in Juneau is run by the same company so I'm sure it's just as fun. I think there were about 8 zips and a couple of rope bridges. They describe it as 6000' of cable. If I make it back up there again I plan to zip in both towns. Have a great time.

I don't want you to be disappointed. The island is Douglas Island, and I'm typing from there right now. ;) You could drive over here, and walk right up to the zipline.

But they do take a speedboat ride over, which gives you some great chances for pictures back to Juneau or over to Douglas, then you ride this Mule up the mountainside to start zipping. There are lots of mining relics in the woods.

The other line is different. You ride out to the other end of Douglas Island, and drive up into a mountainscape with more of a rainforest setting. There's the possibility for glacier views on the drive--assuming it's not raining too hard.
