Star movie theater?

I see there is a movie theater on NCL- Star. Does anyone know what type of movies they show? New releases? Older?

Yes there is a movie theater on the Star - it's on Deck 12 on the way to Spinnaker's Lounge

 

I am not much of a movie goer so I don't know if how current these titles are - these three movies were shown on the Dawn in November so that might give you an idea as how fresh they are.

We were just on the Star. The movies shown in the theater were the same ones we were getting on the t.v. in our cabin, on TNT.

That doesn't sound right. On the Dawn and Star (ships where NCL has dedicated movie theaters), they also have one or two channels on the cabin tv that runs movies continuously throughout the day. On those channels, they do include the movies that are shown in the theaters in addition to a mix of older and more recent ones (all shown without commercials). In addition to those channels, they usually offer TNT. Are you sure this wasn't the case on your sailing?
