jakesmommy Posted January 7, 2009 #1 Share Posted January 7, 2009 We are interested in going here in February with our children ages 4 and 1. If we did the whole thing how long does/could it take??? Wondering if we should plan for more than one thing to do in GC. Any info or pictures on Boatswain greatly appreciated, I know it has mixed reviews! luvmyjewels Posted January 8, 2009 #2 Share Posted January 8, 2009 It took us about 30-45 minutes to get through the turtle farm with our kids. It looked like there was another part of it though (maybe a water park?) that our tickets didn't allow access to.
carm225 Posted January 8, 2009 #3 Share Posted January 8, 2009 There are photos in my signature. Click on the link, and then in my Grand Cayman album. We were only at the turtle farm for about 45 minutes, but I know I felt rushed. I could have spent all day holding those little baby turtles! :D Then there is also a fairly large gift shop that has some really neat things inside of it. I felt rushed in there too. But we did the turtle farm as part of an excursion through the cruiseline, so we had to keep moving, other things to do and see!

BambiRumsey Posted January 12, 2009 #5 Share Posted January 12, 2009 our DD9 really wants to see the turtles in Cayman. We've have done butterflies in KW so not really interested in that aspect of the Carnival excursion. Is there a company that runs a private excursion to Boatswain's and then to maybe Sea Grape or would we be better off just taking a taxi there on our own and then maybe a taxi back to eden roc for some swim/snorkel time? Are taxi's readily available at Boatswain's to take us back? And lastly does anyone know what the cab fare runs to and from the tender pier to the turtle farm? Thanks for your help!!! drew sailbum Posted January 12, 2009 #6 Share Posted January 12, 2009 Any tour operator should be happy to drop you off anywhere along Seven Mile Beach after your visit to Boatswain's Beach (aka Turtle Farm). They have to drive right by anyway.
