Turtle Farm & Butterfly Farm ???'s

Butterfly farm is expensive. The butterfly' are beautiful but it is a small facility and you will be through it in 15 minutes. Turtle farm is neat. There are small turtles you can touch and then the large turtles are there for viewing. There is also a pool/water area which has a glass divider from the shark/fish tank so it looks like you are swimming with them. It also is expensive and if the kids lose interest fast may not be worth it.

We were thinking of doing both, too. RCI offers an excursion that includes both + one other stop for $55/pp...but that seems high. The excursion is only 3 hours total, and I thought we might feel rushed at each stop. If we skip the butterfly farm, Is there anything else of interest between the port and the turtle farm? Would it be worth hiring a private driver to take our group of 10 to the turtle farm and then perhaps to a child-friendly beach?
