scrappinheather Posted January 12, 2009 #1 Share Posted January 12, 2009 Hi: We have a 1 year old son & we are cruising on the Carnival Valor on March 22. We specifically booked with carnival because they offer babysitting services. They told us each day we were in port from 8-12 we could pay for group babysitting. Did anyone use this? Were you able to go on shore excursions (i.e. a 3 hour excursion) and use the service? Any problems? Any suggestions. We definitely would like to do an excursion in each port and then pick up our son & spend the rest of the day with him. Any advice is appreciated. I posted this on the carnival forum but thought I'd post it here too. Heather
jam82 Posted January 13, 2009 #2 Share Posted January 13, 2009 We have used the service on Conquest and Ecstacy. We have always been pleased with the care. They put the under 2's with the 2-5 age group. They want you back by noon so that they don't have to take the little ones to lunch with the whole group. One thing we have experienced in many different ports is that the excursions often run late. It's also good to be aware that it takes time to get through security and back on board.
