1stcruiser1 Posted January 14, 2009 #1 Share Posted January 14, 2009 Does anyone know where they snorkle at? A few years ago we went on a RC snorkle trip in Nassau and it just went out to snorkle past all of the big houses in the harbor. Does this go somewhere different? Thanks

A few years ago we went on a RC snorkle trip in Nassau and it just went out to snorkle past all of the big houses in the harbor. Does this go somewhere different? Thanks We used them this past Saturday-they are awesome!!!! $52.00 pp-cheaper than booking on through the ship. Picked us up at the port, 25 min. drive to enjoy a part of the island I had not explored yet, nice boat, good equipment and staff. we rented wet suits for 10 bucks-well worth it since the water was chilly. Three stops including a stop to see reef sharks (I got in!) We saw lot's of fish and wonderful coral. They have an 800 #; google them to reserve. Check your hours though....you may be on limited time. we did the afternoon trip leaving at 12:15 and it returned at 5:45 p.m. In the a.m. we explored Atlantis and Cabbage Beach, plus shopped in the Straw Market. Very full day to say the least. Have a great time.

The Sail and snorkel does not include a trip to the south side of the island, nor does it include sharks. It is, a wonderful experience on a large catamaran to a very colorful reef with tons of sea life. You'll see all kinds of fish, rays, and even turtles if you are lucky. I don't believe they have wet suits.

scubagirrl Posted January 15, 2009 #5 Share Posted January 15, 2009 Scubagirl, do you know where it goes to?? just by the reef at the harbor or further out around paradise or rose island?? Thank you Depending on the weather (and other factors) they usually go to either the reef on the south east side of Rose Island, or the North side of Rose Island. Both are terrific. If you are from the Disney ship, and the boat is filled with kids, they sometimes go to an area on the north side of Athol Island. It's more protected and calm waters. All locations are filled with colorful coral and tons of sea life.

terryde Posted January 15, 2009 #7 Share Posted January 15, 2009 We just booked this in Nassau for Jan 26 - will be on the Fascination. It was $49 pp through Carnival for 3 1/2 hours (1-4:30), included sailing to the reef, then rum punch and snacks after snorkeling. Included sodas before snorkeling too. We snorkel often and usually book privately, but this was a good deal and at the time we wanted.
