Costa Concordia - do you need a DJ for formal nights?

We have just booked to go on an Eastern Med cruise on 1st of Feb. Can anyone tell me any good news about the cruise as most reports seem to be bad. Does anyone know if it is true that you have to leave the ship early even if your flight is not until 6.00 in the evening:mad:

You might have better luck asking this on the Costa board:

And as to leaving the ship early despite having a late flight, I haven't sailed with Costa, but odds are that yes, this is true. Most cruiselines I've heard of disembark one set of passengers in the morning and take on a new set in the afternoon, so they need you to get off so they can prepare for the new passengers.

I just peeked at the Roll Calls board and saw your query over there. By "DJ" in the title of this thread, do you mean "dinner jacket"? I've only seen that abbreviation used for "disc jockey" and wondered what the connection to formal night was! :)
