any shuttles from the New Orleans airport?

Another New Orleans question. If we rent a car at the airport and then return it, is there a shuttle from the Airport to the Pier? Kind of like the Go SHuttle that we get at the airport in Fort Lauderdale that takes us to the Port of Miami?

The Port of New Orleans states on their web site that there is shuttle service to the port. http://www.portno.com/pno_pages/cruises_passenger_info.htm#airport

 

They also have shuttles that go to most of the hotels in the French Quarter and Downtown areas.

If you plan on renting a car for sightseeing for one day only, that's one thing. But if you plan to park overnight or rent for a couple of days, the parking fees add up ($15-25/nt). We were in NOLA two weeks ago and it was the one of the few times we DIDN'T rent a car (MSY airport had the highest rental rates we have seen to date). Add parking fees to that and it wasn't a good deal.

 

I believe the shuttle fees were running $15 pp plus it was a shared ride. The taxi was the same price with no stops.
