We want to bring a cooler with water and pop

We will be flying into LAX on American and they will not allow anyone to bring in outside water or pop through inspection. Now my question is this--can anyone tell me where we can purchase water and pop for our cooler to be used on the ship. We will be met at airport by a shuttle company, will they stop for us to purchase drinks or is there a store near the ship port? any help would be appreciated. I am just afraid the water will taste bad after reading reviews on here. Thank you

Which port and shich ship?

neither port or airport has a convenient inexpensive nearby place to buy soda and water. I would take a quick cab at the port before checking the luggage in, then stow the water and pop in a suitcase. I would not get water, as I have had only delicious water on the 15 cruises I have been on. It would likely be cheaper to get a soda card, and much less hassle, if you must have pop.
