Location of car rental agency

Are there any car rental agencies close to port? Booking online seems like all the agencies are at the airport.

We have booked with Dollar for next month and have to go to Nevis Street which is only a short walk from the pier - so i've been told:confused:

A year or so ago Dollar picked folks up at the tourist board kiosk 50-100 from the pier entrance on the pedestrian walkway. They would shuttle you in and out of downtown from their office. Parking in downtown St. Johns is very difficult.

I've been looking into car rental in Antigua. I believe Hertz have an office at the Cruise Ship Pier Duty Free Area. Sounds close to ship. here's the phone # 268 481-4440. As yet I haven't called. I've been reading about crime on the island and pot holes in the roads and am feeling a little nervous about taking off in a car on our own.:(
