In Barbados we took the TIAMI catamaran to a beach where they feed the turtles. Other fish show up for the free meal. It's not on a reef, so other than the turtles and fish, there's not much else to see at that beach. There are shipwrecks that can be snorkeled in Barbados as well.

We went to Trunk Bay on St. John and the snorkeling there was ok. I was told afterwards the snorkeling at Cinnamon Bay is much better.

Never snorkeled in St. Thomas, I know the scuba diving there is pretty good.

Barbados is not the best for snorkeling- Folkstone or on of the turtle excursions. In St Thomas, Coki is ok but gets crowded, Sapphire beach is also good off the beach to the right. Instead of taking a ships excursion over to St John, I'd look into one of the day sails in St Thomas- we did the Rumbaba and it was the best. You should check each port of call board and ask this question there
