What can you tell me about Carnival Imagination for a first time cruiser? How is the service? What is the dinner arrangements like? What are the living arrangements like. Please tell me some information about the Carnival Imagination.

We are going on the Imagination at the end of the week on a back to back cruise. It has been several years since we have been on the Imagination but I understand it has been refurbished. It is a beautiful ship and we feel you get more personal service on the Fantasy line ships rather than the larger ships. We do the larger ships usually because of the balcony rooms they offer. There are two dining rooms and you will be assigned to one when you enter the ship. The food is great and you never want for food! They have a 24 hour pizzeria with good pizza and a salad bar. Room service is 24 hours and free! The cabins are a good size. I don't know what category you are in but if you have an oceanview room it is a nice size. You may want to book your next cruise on one of the larger ships so you can get a balcony room. They are fabulous and only a little bit more money! Well worth it! Hope this helps! Have a great time!

From my experience, the Imagination is one of the smaller older ships, but still lots of fun, especially for a first time cruiser. I sailed the Fascination 2 times and the Imagination once and they are pretty much identical. the layout is very easy to memorize and the ship never feels crowded. The rooms are very roomy and have comfy beds, nice TV's and great showers. The lido deck is where you will find the buffets and pool area. The food is so-so, not a big plus in my book, but the burgers and fries at pool are great!

I was not impressed with the dining room. Layout was rather basic and again, food, nothing spectacular. We found that the service was very good and they kept things moving along nicely. The waiters were also very good at remembering our names, however, we mostly ate in buffet or by the pool. The one time I wanted to order room service I found they have premade sandwiches. I had such a craving for a plain old peanut butter sandwich and the only had PB&J. Not my thing! Oh well.

I love the casino and spend lots of time there. Also very nice to sit on the deck and watch all the activities. They do have a very small and lackluster putt putt golf course if you are interested. They have a nice exercise and spa area. They do have a couple of very small shops on board if you like to shop, but nothing spectacular. The ship is more than adequate to get you from one port to another in comfort. The music in pool area is also nice and gets you in the mood. Dont know how much I helped you, It really is a nice ship and we had a good time. Just don't expect it to be the end all or you may be disappointed. We are sailing on the Triumph in May and I look forward to noting the differences.

Either. The ship has wi-fi which you can hook up to if you take your laptop. They also have desktop units in the cafe. The per-minute rate is the same for both. Considering how slow it is (only slightly faster than dial up), the prices for the minutes packages are pretty steep IMHO.

Do you recommend the Sign and Sail card? How much do non alcoholic drinks cost?

Everyone gets a Sign and Sail card. It's your room key and is linked to your bill. There's no cash on board basically, you pay for everything with your S&S Card. Just re-read your post, are you asking about the Soda card? Just wondering since you're asking about pricing on non-alcoholic drinks.
