OK all you packing experts - Sorry op not to jump on your thread but I need to know:

How many pairs of shoes do you actually take?? For men & women?? Last cruise I had 7 - and I know that was waaaay to many

Let's see, I had 5 pairs of shoes (including sneakers) on my last cruise. My husband refused to overpack and took only one pair of sandals (mandals?), one pair of dress shoes, and the sneakers he wore on the flight. That's all he needed.

I sorta get all the outfits. I plan on bringing one day outfit and one dinner outfit for each day. I don't wear clothes twice. I mean it's a warm climate and I prefer a clean outfit but what I don't really get is all the bathing suits. I'll probably bring 3 bathing suits myself and a small bottle of woolite.

A few suggestions..

cash for the ports? what if you want drinks and souvenirs

And why dont you wear your mini dress that you wear at night for dinner? Save on outfits. I overpack as well but learned that sometimes you really dont use so much stuff.

Oh and I love the hair iron that dries your hair.Do you know if there is a travel one?

+1 for the birth control! you may not want that type of souvenir for the next 18+ years...lol

Last cruise, I was so obsessed over loosing mine than when we checked in and the lady asked for our passports, I told he we didn't have them and were going to use our birth control instead. :o I was so embaressed, she just chuckled and too our birth certificates!

I am working on one luggage and a small cooler for a carry on ... and bet I still don't wear 1/2.

You can't carry coolers on anymore. The cruise docs state they have to be in checked bags. There is a thread devoted to this, don't remember the name of it.

If I had my way I would take a swim suit, khakis jeans, polo shirt, dress pants, dress shoes, dress shirt and tie, shorts, tank top, and immodium. That would be all I would take...but GF has different ideas...think I will be going shopping. Ugh.
