5waldos Posted January 26, 2009 #26 Share Posted January 26, 2009 Galveston cruisers...I can't pick between the conquest and ecstasy...been on conquest, can afford it this time, but need someone to tell me the conquest isn't worth the extra 400-500 dollars...I really loved the conquest and can't see myself "downgrading" as some would say to the ecstasy. Please someone tell me what to do:confused: Well- we sailed on the Elation, pretty similar to the Ecstasy, and we had a lovely time and enjoyed the over the top decorating. Loved it! Hard to think it would be a downgrade. Different yes, but life is more fun when things are different! And for 4-500 you could take yet another cruise! Guienevere_Arianette Posted January 26, 2009 #27 Share Posted January 26, 2009 Texas I was worried about the same thing (see my signature below; Conquest first, Ecstasy second). The only things I really "missed" were the supper club and the fish and chips place. Other than that, they are comparable cruises, I would say. The decor on the Ecstasy was a bit...loud...but, if gaudy decor and the loss of the supper club doesn't bother you, then go for it! I had the same fantastic service and food quality that I did on the Conquest. They even have a sushi bar! I say save the 400 and use that to have a great time in port or in the casino or in the spa...;) Galveston cruisers...I can't pick between the conquest and ecstasy...been on conquest, can afford it this time, but need someone to tell me the conquest isn't worth the extra 400-500 dollars...I really loved the conquest and can't see myself "downgrading" as some would say to the ecstasy. tbrown Posted January 26, 2009 #31 Share Posted January 26, 2009 we are going on the cruise with Al and Mary in Nov and we are going to drive in with another couple. It will take us 15 hours and figured we would leave out early Friday morning and the ship doesn't leave until Sunday so we should be fine. I am so excited it is January and I have already started my list all most like Santa and keep checking it twice. Or atleast making ideas to do this or do that.
