hilton miami airport

My wife and I stayed at the Miami Hilton-downtown this past October. I think it used to be a Raddisson and is being remodeled. The downtown tram (no cost to ride)station is only about 1 block away, and stops near Bayside Marketplace. The area is just north of downtown proper and only about a 15 to 20 walk to Bayside if you like a little exercise. The area near the hotel is undergoing some revitalization itself, but isn't too bad. We did however have a few people ask for $$, but they were harmless and we just passed them by. The hotel itself is very nice and their exercise room is one of the best I've seen in a hotel. If your room doesn't face the ocean, you can go up to one of the top floors (20th or 21st) there is a huge window and you can look right at the cruise ships when they dock in the AM. There is also a Catholic church one block behind the hotel. I would definitely stay there again.

We just got back from the Valor and stayed at the Miami Downtown with points. LOVED IT!! They gave us a bay view and we woke up in the morning, pulled back the drapes and there was our ship waiting for us :D (along with 3 others). We took a cab to Bayshore. It was about $6. A cab to the ship the next morning was about $11. We would definitely stay there again, especially if we could get that view. The view at night was very beautiful too.
