LadyLuck Posted January 26, 2009 #1 Share Posted January 26, 2009 First time on NCL in March--With the WAVE promotion for shipboard credit, we have gotten some with our recent booking. Can anyone tell me if the OBC can be used for NCL shore excursions? I've looked at the online profile, and it shows that for the excursion, I can just "add to itineary." So, do we have to prepay if we book online? Thanks for you help.

Us2inFL Posted January 26, 2009 #3 Share Posted January 26, 2009 All your excursions booked through NCL are paid at the end of the cruise on your room account, so you can use an OBC for that expense. You can use your on-board credit for gift shopping, drinks, specialty restaurants, bowling fees, anything you would use your key card to purchase. Spend away! GORDONCHICK Posted January 26, 2009 #4 Share Posted January 26, 2009 Since we just asked this onboard not even two weeks ago, they told me that there used to be differentiation between some OBCs, but not anymore. They can also go toward the daily service charge (tips).
Us2inFL Posted January 26, 2009 #5 Share Posted January 26, 2009 Since so many cruisers have some sort of on-board credit, and since the only guaranteed charge is going to be the daily gratuity, does NCL cut the fee (to some percentage of full amount) to their employees when an OBC is part of the booking?
