No, I don't believe so. 3. No, didn't see any place but wasn't looking. I would worry about fakes and wait untill Tortolla.
hunterJay Posted January 28, 2009 #4 Share Posted January 28, 2009 3 Has anyone ever purchased Domican cigars in Samana? 4 If so what brands and where? I haven't purchased them but on Cayo Levantano they had vendors selling them on the way to the beach. Brandwise they said "COHIBA" but (real) Cohibas don't come in a box with a plexiglass cover (which I find bad because some Domincan brands are on par with Cubans). Yes, it is open but usually is taken over with cigarette smokers. I preferred going up to Bimini Bar & Grill in the evening with a nice scotch. 2. No cigars in the casino. 3. Yes, on Cayo Levantado. 4. Last November I bought 2 boxes (25) of Davidoff churchills and 1 box (10) of Macanudo robustos for $135.00. They also threw in a couple of counterfeit Cohibas that weren't too bad. PE

Dominican Cohibas are packaged that way as were my Macanudo's. The Davidoff's were packaged in a wood framed plexiglas topped box also. PE
Ms belp Posted January 28, 2009 #7 Share Posted January 28, 2009 If you wanted to buy some cigars for the corporate attorney, who has given up his pipe, which brand would you recommend that wouldn't "break the bank"?
Akiba Posted January 28, 2009 #8 Share Posted January 28, 2009 Romeo and Julieta is a very good cigar about $5.00 per stick in the US (fairly mild nice flavor). Or based on the bank size Ashton VSG's at $10.00-$12.00 (a little more power) Just my opinion
