CCress9324 Posted April 23, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 23, 2004 Can anyone tell me how much the "Wine and Dine Package" is on the ship and also the "Fountain Soda Package" for a 7-day cruise?
jburp Posted April 24, 2004 #2 Share Posted April 24, 2004 They did not offer the wind and dine package on the Explorer (4/10). They said they did not have enough of the wine on board that is offered in the package. I thought this was odd as we were still in Miami when I asked about it. So maybe they are discontinuing it. The coke card it $42.00 for adults and 28.00 for kids. You get a sticker on your sea pass and also get a Coke cup with a top on. These are great for around the pool because the ice does not melt so fast.
jerseygirl3 Posted April 24, 2004 #3 Share Posted April 24, 2004 We were onboard the Majesty of the Seas last week, and they said Royal Caribbean has discontinued the Wine and Dine Program fleetwide. We had it on our January Radiance of the Seas cruise, and it was great. It was $109 (plus 15% gratuity) for 7 bottles of wine. caribbeanqueen3@comcast.net

ON the third night, the wait staff informed them that they had run out of the wine offered in the package. Even though the package had been purchased, the ship's staff made no effort to remedy the situation. Instead, they were charged full price for the three bottles they had already received and simply told, "Too bad, too sad" (not in exactly those words). Perhaps RCI should adopt NCL's wine package program. I believe if you purchase five bottles, the sixth is free (equal or lesser value of the average). Then, people could get what they want, might buy more expensive wine, and no one has to worry about running out. Kay D Posted April 27, 2004 #5 Share Posted April 27, 2004 Sorry to hear it's being discontinued, but of course, any good deal for passengers usually nixed by a company -- yes, that is sour grapes!! Frankly that was 1 big plus RC had over Prin -- we are nightly "bottle of wine" drinkers with dinner and many of the wine-dine package wines are what we buy for use at home! The explanation given that they didn't "have enough bottles" to fulfill the wine-dine package is rather hard to swallow!!!
