2boyzmom Posted January 31, 2009 #1 Share Posted January 31, 2009 This is my first RCCL and was told you have an interactive TV. What exactly does that mean?
setsail Posted January 31, 2009 #2 Share Posted January 31, 2009 You can access your account on the tv and look at the charges to your seapass
Rare silentbob007 Posted January 31, 2009 #3 Share Posted January 31, 2009 You can see your onboard account, order shore excursions, order room service, and order pay-per-view beyond just watching TV.
2boyzmom Posted January 31, 2009 Author #4 Share Posted January 31, 2009 Is room service quicker ordered by phone or tv?
amybear912 Posted January 31, 2009 #5 Share Posted January 31, 2009 room service is not necessarily quicker... we also use the TV to: catch the view from the bridge, especially in the early AM when we first wake up... check the time (no clocks in the room, except your phone and the TV) check the ships' position, weather check the menu for dinner in the MDR check our onboard account
tip Posted January 31, 2009 #6 Share Posted January 31, 2009 This is my first RCCL and was told you have an interactive TV. What exactly does that mean? It keeps me busy while my wife is getting ready!;)

Rare silentbob007 Posted January 31, 2009 #8 Share Posted January 31, 2009 I'd say roomservice is quicker by phone just because it takes a while to go through and select stuff on TV ... of course, it does help in avoiding "communication" mishaps, so maybe it's a wash. ;
pepsicruiser Posted January 31, 2009 #9 Share Posted January 31, 2009 There are about 3 childrens stations, cnbc & fox news, a couple of spanish stations, various movies shown over and over during your cruise, the interactive station for seapass and room service, a cbs station that shows clips (old ones) of morning show, fergerson late night show, honeymooners, ozzie & harriet etc. and then there is also Pay Per View with a variety of things to rent.
