NCL Hawaii with 10 month old and 3 1/2 yo?

Hi everyone -

We are considering taking a cruise soon with our now 10 mo old and 3.5 yo daughters and a NCL Hawaii special caught my eye. We took our oldest on a Carnival cruise when she was 2.5 yo and felt like there wasn't much to do for her since she didn't enjoy Camp Carnival so much. Do we dare do a cruise with an infant?? If you think so, what do you suggest for room accomodations (I don't sleep well with the kiddos close by)? Will that fact that every day is a port day be a good thing or a not so good thing?

Thanks!

If you are looking for a very activie itinerary, certainly go on a cruise. But, if you are looking for relaxation, I would do a land vacation in Hawaii.

My personal preference would be to do a land vacation in HI. There are plenty of condos for rent where the girls can have their own bedroom and you can have yours.

I've been to Hawaii many times, and am going Saturday too! I find it so relaxing to just be on my own schedule, laze around the pool, have the kids enjoy the pool, take an excursion if and when I feel like it. The first time I went, my youngest was 12 months - just 2 years ago. We went for 3 weeks, and didn't see nearly everything. I've been back many times since (in the past 2 1/2 years) and still have much more that I want to see.

Hawaii can be a very active itinerary. There is hiking, volcanoes, snorkeling, scuba, whale watching, helicopter tours etc. Each island is quite different, so if you do decide to go, I would recommend getting off to see each and every island. It could get very tiring with two little ones too.

Hotels like Marriott and Westin have condos for rent. There are also a lot on vrbo.com. Many properties have great pools and restaurants.
