Carnival Dollars ??

Hi, just wondering if these are OK to get?

 

My brother did some water pipe work for me and wouldn't take anything, he's going on a cruise in March and I want to surprise him with something and I thought giving him some extra spending would be nice. He does use the on board casino and this time will probably take a ship sponsored excursion or two. I wanted to just add money to his OBC but I only see where I can buy these Carnival Dollars and was wondering if they are worth getting?

I was hoping to have him surprised when he saw the extra money in his OBC account but with the Carnival Dollars they apparently send them to me and I have to give them to him. Thanks for your views/opinions.

I had them sent once to the cruiseship instead of sending them to me. Usually , they send them to me. You can also buy bar coupons to be delivered to him on the ship. We buy them all the time. Saves money on the cruise. When you call up, just tell them you want them delivered to him. They ask for his ship,booking number date and last name. I have done it dozens of times.

Can you tell me how the coupons work? Are they per drink or just a dollar value? thx
