mamasweetcheeks Posted February 2, 2009 #1 Share Posted February 2, 2009 Does anyone know how the snorkeling is at Caya Levantando? Do I need any fins? How deep is the water? I am a beginner snorkeler and my 5 year old son might snorkel with me. Thanks for the information.
drbmd Posted February 12, 2009 #2 Share Posted February 12, 2009 We were at Cayo Levantado last week. There is some snorkeling over on the extreem right side of the beach off of some rocks. The water is not very deep. You can actually stand up in most of the areas, but we brought an inflatable tube for our daughters to use. Not great snorkeling but we did see a few fish. I don't think that you need fins although we did use them. There is much better snorkeling on some of the other islands such as Coki Beach on St. Thomas. Have a nice trip and good fish finding.
